Interview with "The Black Swan" Brooke Owens

Q: "Tell us a bit about yourself, where you come from and what your motivations are?"

A:"Well, I'm from Manchester England but I moved to the US to train for wrestling back in 2015. My training paid off and I found a new home in VWE. My main motivation has always been, to be the best that I can be. To be honest, I'm still learning new things each and every day. You really never stop learning, really!"

Q: "What inspired you to get into the wrestling business?"

A: "I've always been a fan of wrestling. I grew up watching it with my Granddad and I knew that it was something I REALLY wanted to do! That there was nothing that could stop me from doing it!"

Q: "Where did you learn to wrestle? Who was your trainer?"

A: "I learned to wrestle at the VWE Performance Center, and I was trained by two of the best female  SL Wrestlers in Lily Martinez, and Christina Krovac."

Q: "What is your wrestling style?"

A: "It's a hybrid style of striking, technical, and high flying. A combination of all of my favorite styles from growing up until to this day even."

Q: "What are your signature moves and/or your finishers?"

A: "My signature that I use is called the "Swan Song" and it is a Single Leg Dropkick. My finisher is the "Swan Lake Destroyer" which is a front flip DDT."

Q: "What’s your entrance music? Why did you choose it?"

A: "My entrance music is "What Have You Done" by Within Temptation. I chose it almost a year ago as "The Black Swan" was just a thought in my head. I chose it, because not only music wise does it fit me so well, with how I present my character, but lyrically as well. It was just a perfect match."

Q: "Who would you like to wrestle in the business? Why?"

A: "I would love to wrestle another match with my trainer Christina Krovac! The reason why? Because everytime we've wrestled, it was always one of best matche. Christina brings out the best in anyone she works with, and I love that so much!"

Q: "What is your most cherished moment of your career so far?"

A: "I would have to say WrestleSeries 8 last year, winning a Bombshell Battle Royale and to be crowned the first ever VWE Radiance Champion! Not only did I have a WrestleSeries moment at my first WrestleSeries, but to me being the first champion and having to build it up was huge for me, and I loved that opportunity."

Q: "What advice would you give others just starting out in the business?"

A: "Don't stress too much. I know there's times where it can get "too much" but things smooth out, trust me I've been there. Secondly be yourself and have fun!"

A: "Cody Houley, Ryoko, Christina, Tyress, and someone who I feel was highly underrated Hilary Lanfier"

Q: "Any last words for your fans?"

A: "Thank you for supporting me especially as I was taking a huge risk with changing up my character you guys helped me get to where I am today and trust me when I say this is only the start!"
